WotLK Classic Hotfixes November 8th – Fungal Creep Nerfed On Trash

loatheb landing page

In today’s hotfix, we don’t have many fixes, but the three that are here are important.

To start with, Season of Mastery players that earned the Tabard of Mastery for use in WotLK Classic, but somehow lost it, will now be able to recover it from the tabard vendors found in capital cities.

An important change is that Fungal Creep, the debuff provided by Spores on the Loatheb fight, will now fall off if you are not in combat with Loatheb. This means that it will fall off once the boss is dead, preventing players from bringing it into the next wing of the raid and utilizing it for trash pulls. This also prevents people from somehow bringing it into other boss fights, although these fights would be invalid in logs.

And finally, sending your pet to attack will make you immune to Sap, placing you either fully in combat or in a pseudo-combat state, as Sap cannot be used against targets that are in combat. This is a fairly large change for a few classes, but primarily this gives Warlocks and Hunters in arena an easy out if they are worried about being sapped. Of course, this adds the risk of your pet being out of position and dying, but you win some you lose some.
